About the Author

Violet O. Cox, PhD, MLS, CCC-SLP graduated from Columbia University New York, with a Master of Science in Speech Pathology and a PhD in Neurogenic Communication Disorders from Kent State University. Dr. Cox is also a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Legal Studies. Currently, Dr. Cox is an Associate Lecturer and researcher in Neurogenic Communication Disorders at Cleveland State University where she specializes in voice, swallowing and adult language disorders.
