About the Author

Elie M. Ferneini, MD, DMD, MHS, MBA, FACS, is a practicing oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Cheshire, Connecticut, USA and an associate clinical professor at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Ferneini is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University (BS, magna cum laude), Quinnipiac University (MHS, MBA), and University of Connecticut Medical and Dental Schools (DMD, MD).

Regina Landesberg DMD, PhD is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been actively involved in clinical and basic research throughout her career. Dr. Landesberg is a graduate of Ithaca College (BA, magna cum laude), University of Connecticut (DMD) and University of Rochester (Residency in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, MS, PhD, and Post Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopaedics).

Steven Halepas, DMD, MD, FACD is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City. He was born and raised in Connecticut, USA.
